City of Elk Grove recently issued the following announcement.
Event Name: Spirit of Giving Food Drive Car Decorating Contest Drive Thru

Location: District56, Big Horn and Civic Center Dr.
Description
Show your holiday spirit and decorate your car for the drive thru drop off! A prize will go to the best decorated car and you'll be entered into a drawing to win dinner for four. Follow the signs when you enter the aquatics parking lot off of Big Horn Blvd.
The Elk Grove Youth Commissions presents the Season of Giving Food Drive. All donations benefit the Elk Grove Food Bank. Help local people in need by donating canned food items and other non-perishable goods. Drive thru drop off December 4 at 4-7pm.
Most needed items:
Low-sodium canned vegetables
Low-sodium soups
Canned meats (chicken, tuna, etc.)
Pasta
Cereal products
Oatmeal
Peanut butter
Canned fruits
Ensure
Beans (bagged and canned)
Mac & cheese
Anything non-perishable
